So go ahead and see what our bath bombs can do for you!
Do you expect your donations to go completely on the work of the charity or organisation? As the owner of Lazy Sunday Bath Bombs, I have been very disheartened to learn that not much comes from the donations Lazy Sunday has made over the last 13 months. I am not going to bad mouth charities, that is not my intention at all. However, it doesn’t sit right with me that donations made to further the cause of Endometriosis and Fibromyalgia may be used to pay a wage, which in some cases is quite high. Coupled with the lack of visibility around the main charities we currently support and their actual work for furthering the cause of Endometriosis and Fibromyalgia, I have decided to no longer support Endometriosis UK and FMA UK as a default option. You can still have your donation go to these charities, just pop a note in the order comments section and I will ensure your money goes to the charities. However, from November 1st, 2018 onwards, all donations (unless otherwise requested) will go to Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales and She Can Consultancy. FTWW is a recognised charity, whereas She Can Consultancy is a social enterprise. Neither collect profit for personal gain. While both are based in Wales, both have a national effect.
FTWW provides a magnitude of online support, runs campaigns for womens issues and so much more! FTWW has been involved in contributing to the NICE guidelines for Diagnosis and Management of endometriosis which guides medical professionals all over the UK how to diagnose and treat Endometriosis. FTWW has also been campaigning for improved recognition of the many girls and women on the spectrum (ASD) around the UK. FTWW is also running campaigns on miscarriage, EDS and Menopause in Wales. You can find out more about FTWW here: http://www.ftww.co.uk/
She Can Consultancy provides in person and online PTSD recovery programs, along with one day and weekend retreats free of charge. Along with this, She Can has launched a campaign focusing on child sexual abuse. The campaign has 3 key areas: Child Houses, Sentencing Guidelines and Victim Protection. This work is incredibly important for protecting children that have been sexually abused, and helping those that have been abused in the past to move forward. Both FTWW and She Can are staffed completely by volunteers, including the CEO’s. All money raised goes on the campaigns and work that they do. I am lucky enough to know both CEO’s, and I can tell you they work incredibly hard and are extremely passionate about what they do! I am incredibly proud of both Debbie and Maya, and I am excited to be able to support them and the work they do. I hope you are as excited as I am about this change.
